The new normal…

A lot of my blogs come back to the way humans treat each other. Mainly because I am deeply affected by the mistreatment of others.

This lil gem came up in my memories today.

Full disclosure I’ve always been team Meghan, I think she was victim of a massive smear campaign, but that was a whole other blog.

It genuinely is not my intention to garner a political debate in the comments. My point is, when a world leader behaves in this type of petty manner, how on earth can we expect anyone to bother with respecting each other, let alone children.

I have made it very clear in an earlier blog that I am not a Trump supporter. I usually have respect for Political leaders or Authoritarian figures. But that comes with expectations, I don’t have to like or agree with them, I just expect them to carry themselves well and lead by example. Donald Trump does not do that, in fact he incites unrest.

I came accross a meme a week ago that really suprised me, yet at the same time made sense.

I’d often wondered what could possibly be the reasoning behind the cult like following he has amassed. And this really makes sense. Sadly.

I didn’t share this as part of my page post, because the backlash would be above my pay grade. I’m not about entertaining those kind of conversations. I have no tolerance for any type of bigotry. I’m afraid my intolerance and clapback would only work against what my posts is actually about. So I don’t entertain conversations that would bring out that side of me, which I see as reactive and toxic. I will shut down those type of conversations diplomatically, as I see no point in trying to teach another human how to be human.

I don’t even know what to say anymore about the state of the world. I used to think that my circumstances were unique, that my bad people experiences where just unfortunate. But the reality is, bad people aren’t a minority. Bad people are a reality, and at this point they have the upper hand, and are calling the shots.
