I can’t even…continued…

I could have just added to yesterdays blog, but I really feel today's rant, and it is a rant, because I am really pissed, is worthy of it's own blog. And I don't so much mind seeing Mr Styles picture as I scroll through my blogs 💁🏻‍♀️

A little context, Harry Styles grammy acceptance speech was taken out of context. Not unusual in this world of trashy journalism and clickbait headlines, solely for the purpose of garnering heated debate, page interaction and likes, integrity is a thing of the past.

I don't understand how once reputable sources of media have become nothing more than gossipy trash.

Anyways I digress, the state of reputable news outlets is a whole other dilemma.

The source of my - hmmm, scanning my mind for the right emotion, I actually think it's heartache, because this hurts my heart.

once I move past my utter disgust and outrage, and evaluate my reaction, it is definitely heartache and disappointment.

I have no problem with opposing opinions, but

THIS THING, they are the only words I see.

I don't know what to say that could possibly make a difference to this type of vile ignorance, but I do know that I will never be able to say nothing. I just go straight to outrage.

This comment and yesterdays came from two beautiful young women. Not that that matters. I only mention it because it prompts me to wonder how our woke younger generation is able to justify such bigotry. I mean is this not the type of comment that would prompt a meeting of the cancel culture club. Yes I was being facetious💁🏻‍♀️, sorrynotsorry, I don't disagree with cancel culture entirely, just the way in which it is decided upon....

I'm back, I was gone for a couple of hours, why is this significant. I'm not as irate now. Doesn't mean my stance has changed any, I've just calmed my farm. So I probably won't be throwing any profanities around.

It was also helpful to see that there were a significant number of people that were also as incensed. When others are just as incensed at this type of hatred, it gives me hope that the bigots are the minority.

Unfortunately I know it won't be long before my cage is rattled again. I will try and keep my rants to a minimum, but given there's not much else I can do to change ignorance, a literary rant is better than holding onto the disdain.
