yeh but he twitches in his sleep, his heart rate spikes at loud noises, he shuts down fast, he's overly observant, he's quiet, he overthinks, he self isolates but yeh....

Well, so to speak.

I mean, I can hear them. They just can’t hear me.

At first I was yelling out to them, trying to get their attention, but no matter what I did they behaved as though I was doing nothing.

Then I realised I actually was doing nothing.

I don’t know why the penny didn’t drop sooner. Maybe it took a while for me to gain my faculties. Or maybe some part of me simply refused to understand what was happening.

But here I lay, day in, day out, listening, waiting.

Waiting for someone to realise that I’m still in this body.

Waiting… waiting for someone to notice that I’m still here…
