We’re not doing that…

I came accross this quote last night I can’t not address it. It’s just so valid and really lends itself to my recent blogs.

I feel like I’ve spent the last few years living that quote and It's only just registering that I’ve come out the other side.

It’s all still there, part of healing is realising that the trauma actually doesn’t go away. In fact there are people and situations that will continue to tear open those wounds. Healing is not something that begins and ends. It’s a new way of navagating the residual obstacles that we collected along the way. But once you find a way to co-exist, the threat of someone messing with your new found peace, is not an option.

This is who you are now, and we are never going back to shitville.
