What is it that makes people think that their opinion is so much more important than anyone else's. Of all the opportunities this man has to voice his views on racial bias in the music industry, he chooses Taylor Swift's accolaid as his soapbox. Surely it's not just coincidental that the speech is made again after Taylor's win. Sure it was Kayne's words last time, but if Jay-Z didn't have hands on it, I'd be surprised.
Imagine having ammased what that power couple has and still feeling the need to rain on Taylor's parade.
I'm not so much a fan of Miss Swifts music, well to be honest I've not really listened to much, but I am a fan of the way she carries herself and her generosity.
It would seem that karma played it's hand over the years where Kanye and Taylor were concerned, I would think that it may do the same again. I'm not one to wish ill will on anyone, so I'd hope that it's just a lesson in humility, because some folk need it. I don't know enough about the music industry to know wether his point is valid, but for me the timing and the delivery felt mean spirited ...

As it happens Taylor Swift is on the Australian leg of her tour. It's safe to say Taylor fever is everywhere. The media causing it usual negative/positive hype.
For all intents and purposes it's really hard to find fault with her. Sure people bang on about her carbon footprint blahfuckingblahblah. Might be more advantageous is they looked into their own rather than soapboxing on social media.
And the fact she is a billionaire seems to be reason in itself for hatred, regardless of the ostensive generosity she displays.
People seem to find it hard to like someone doing well, we call it tall poppy syndrome here.
I saw an instagram post of a woman and her bestie, in their 30's, donned with the obligatory Swiftie paraphernalia. They had recorded themselves for a couple of minutes as Taylor took to the stage. They were completely overwhelmed, shaking, crying, in awe. Some were saying how ridiculous they were, personally I was caught up in their excitement. Made me feel like I wanted to be there, be part of the hype, I felt like I was missing out on something that could never be replicated. Something they will hold as a dear memory for the rest of their lives. I can only hold joy for that.
There's a lot of shitty things happening in the world, can't we just embrace the elation that she is bringing to so many 💁🏻♀️.

The new album by Miss Swift has stirred some controversy and I’m very much here for it. I would usually be of the opinion that it’s best to take the high road, be the bigger person, but in this situation I find myself enjoying this long awaited serve of justice.
It started with Kanye (If, I’m honest I’ve been low key pissed off about that since it happened. Image having that moment stolen and for there to be no intervention or ramification for the intrusion), it continued with Kanye, it was perpetuated by Kim and it was slam dunked by Taylor.
Maybe I am becoming a Swiftie…
