Simplistic … me …

Recently someone accused me of being too simplistic. You can imagine my delight at being viewed in that light.

I thought about it, and I do come to simple logical conclusions quickly.

I'm able to think on my feet, I guess for me the complexities come from my latter disecting of those conclusions. Taking my black and white and adding shades of gray.

But the reality is that things can be simple.

On occasion we find ourselves in heavy situations, of which we may have no control. Sometimes, we can walk away, sometimes not. However, what we can have control of, is how we approach and deal with our situations. I don't propose that we live an airy fairy life with our heads in the sand.

But I do think sometimes we get stuck in life situations, caught up in the dramatics. Weighed down by the magnitude of what we perceive, and on occasion we have a tendency to perpetuate and prolong situations.

Regardless of our state of mind, those circumstances, will still be there. So why not have control over how we choose to live, WITH the situation.

If there isn't going to be a simple resolution, then we need to make space for the anxiety, and associated emotions, learn to sit comfortably with them, make space rather than trying to rid them from our mind.

I came accross a lil tip that I found helpful by Dr Russ Harris - The struggle switch.

Anyways, I'm going to take the accusation as a compliment 😊
